The Vario 818D sits at the top of the Vario range, wearing the heaviest chassis rating of the series. It was produced from 1996 to 2013, spanning the entire W670 generation alongside the rest of the Vario line. Across its production run, the 818D used two different diesel engines — the OM612 and the OM647 — both shared with the equivalent-era Sprinter. The Vario 818D is no longer in production, but we continue to rebuild and replace engines for every one still on the road.
