Mercedes SLK55 AMG Valve Seal & Coolant Wear (R172, M152)
If your SLK55 AMG is a 2011–2016 model with the M152 V8 — that's the R172 generation — valve seal and coolant system wear is a documented pattern on this engine family (shared architecture with the M155 and M157). We replace valve seals and coolant components as standard on every M152 rebuild.

The R171 generation (2004–2011) uses the M113 — a 5.5-litre naturally aspirated V8 that was a staple of the AMG range during that era. The R172 generation (2011–2016) switched to the M152, a newer 5.5-litre naturally aspirated V8 that shares architecture with the M155 and M157.
