What Our Rebuild Process Involves
Our engine rebuild service is a complete, systematic process that restores your Mercedes-Benz engine to factory-spec condition. Every step is carried out in-house at our Billericay workshop by our experienced technicians.
- Initial diagnosis – full vehicle and engine assessment to confirm the required work
- Engine removal – safe extraction using specialised lifting equipment
- Full strip-down – complete disassembly to inspect every component
- Cleaning and inspection – parts are cleaned and measured to determine reusability
- Precision machining – cylinder boring/honing, deck surfacing, crank grinding, and align honing (all in-house)
- Parts sourcing and quality check – we supply genuine or high-quality OEM-equivalent components
- Reassembly – new bearings, seals, piston rings, and timing components fitted to exact torque specifications
- Final assembly and torquing – all fasteners tightened to manufacturer-specified values
- Engine testing – oil pressure, compression, and leak-down tests to verify performance
- Refit and road test – engine reinstalled, fluids filled, and a full road test to confirm drivability
Throughout the process, we document each stage and keep you informed. Our goal is a reliable, long-lasting engine that performs like new.
